Paz Peru is a non-profit, supportive, innovative and leading organization, which is part of the Swiss Peace Foundation. Their work focuses on the  the well-being of the community, especially the development of vulnerable sectors of society. Through their social projects (health, education, agriculture, advocacy and promotion of children) and business activities, they seek to achieve the sustainability of their projects and change people's lives to improve their present and their future.

Volunteers will work with this government agency to promote the preservation of the rich ecosystem in the area while promoting the involvement of the local communities to raise awareness of the need to protect and conserve their environment and the abundant natural resources of this protected area.

CASA HOGAR

Casa Hogar is a home for girls who have been abandoned, neglected, or abused in some way. The home is located in Arequipa, and houses between 25 to 40 girls ages at any given time. The mission of Casa Hogar is to give the girls back the childhood of which they have been deprived. Volunteers can help CH by spending time with the girls, playing games, and helping with homework and domestic tasks. Working with the girls is an extremely rewarding experience!

Colegio Honofre Benavides

Colegio Honofre Benavides is a public primary and secondary school, located in Tomepampa, a rural village in the Cotahuasi Canyon region of Southern Peru. Volunteers are essential in supporting student education and providing cross-cultural exposure to children at the school. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain teaching experience in a completely different cultural setting and to live in a little-visited, yet fascinating, area of Peru!
