Preservation of ecosystem in the Cotahuasi Canyon

Volunteers will work with this government agency to promote the preservation of the rich ecosystem in the area while promoting the involvement of the local communities to raise awareness of the need to protect and conserve their environment and the abundant natural resources of this protected area.

Colegio Honofre Benavides is a public primary and secondary school, located in Tomepampa, a rural village in the Cotahuasi Canyon region of Southern Peru. Volunteers are essential in supporting student education and providing cross-cultural exposure to children at the school. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain teaching experience in a completely different cultural setting and to live in a little-visited, yet fascinating, area of Peru!
