INTERNSHIPS AND VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES

ABOUT US

Help from volunteers is needed at four community projects:

1. Casa Hogar New Hope, a home for girls at risk who have been victims of some type of violence that focuses on the well-being of girls by providing education, rehabilitation, care and vocational programs in the city of Arequipa.

2. Honofre Benavides School in Tomepampa in Cotahuasi Canyon.

3. SERNANP a Government Environmental Agency in the Cotahuasi region.

Volunteers Peru is a small non for profit grass roots organization based in Arequipa, Peru. We work in collaboration with local organizations where our volunteers can make a positive contribution to the community and fulfill their personal and educational goals.

WELCOME TO PERU!
Although it is Peru’s second largest city, Arequipa has a small-town feel and people will be quick to make you feel welcome. Arequipeños are resolutely proud of their city – and they should be. Built from beautiful white ‘sillar’ stone, the whole historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and gives Arequipa its nickname, “The White City”. And with 300 days of sunshine a year, and an altitude of 2,328 metres, you can wake up to blue skies and a pleasant climate every day!
